When I first met True, he enchanted me with his looks and his attitude. He is the dog that got me interesting in Australian Cattledogs in the first place!
He loved people of all ages and he was saavy about them as well. If there was someone he didn't like, I paid attention to that person He was never wrong. He was a marvelous therapy dog and wonderful in the Dog Safety Awareness classes. He was a solid dog.
He developed PRA early on, which is how he can to live with me. Although he was only with me for a little while, I miss him every single day. He had warmth, humor. smarts and a loving nature. He was a snuggler, he loved to take a nap with you! He also could be a bit of s "surfer boy", waaay cute and someitmes really dopey!
He had several funny mannerisms; one of which was really cute. If he was playing with one of the young girls (his daughter Hart included) and he'd had enough, he's put his paw on her forehead and "splat!" --- he'd smack her down on the ground. He watch other dogs wildly play ball and once in a while he'd fly after a ball, just to show you that, yep, he could do that just fine, thank you very much!
I remember once going into a store in a not-so-good neighborhood. Two men were hassling the store clerk. Tooey just stared at them, and they quickly left. The clerk wonderd why they took off so fast. True stood up, put his paws on the counter and smiled at her as if to say, "It was me!!"
He only sired one litter with only two pups. Hart is one of them.
Tooey, you are sorely missed. We will meet at the Rainbow Bridge and hang out together.
